St. David's Medical Center in central Austin is home to a state-of-the-art Neurological unit within our Healthcare & Medical Services department. We are dedicated to fostering a culture of excellence, teamwork, and compassionate care. Our environment is collaborative and high-acuity, designed to support both our patients and the professionals who serve them.
As a New Grad RN, you will join a team committed to delivering patient-centered care to adult neurology patients. This role exists to ensure that every patient receives comprehensive, evidence-based nursing care under the guidance of experienced RNs and an interdisciplinary team. You will be the frontline advocate for patients, assessing needs, implementing care plans, and coordinating with physicians, therapists, and support staff to manage complex neurological conditions and post-operative recovery.
Your day will be defined by direct patient interaction, from performing focused neurological assessments and administering IV therapies to educating families on treatment plans and discharge care. You will work in a dynamic setting where critical thinking and early recognition of patient deterioration are vital. Beyond clinical duties, you will actively participate in quality improvement initiatives and engage in ongoing professional development, including skills labs and neurology-focused education, to help launch and grow your nursing career.
We are seeking candidates who embody our values of respect and compassion. The application process involves submitting your credentials for review, followed by an interview to discuss your clinical background and fit within our team culture.
St. David's Medical Center is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity and inclusion. We consider qualified applicants regardless of background, race, gender, or other protected characteristics.
