Ascension Saint Thomas Kidney Transplant Center is seeking a Transplant Nephrologist to join our team at Ascension Saint Thomas West Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee. This is an employed position within a nonprofit health system, offering a collaborative, physician-led culture and long-term practice stability.
You will join an established team of 4 physicians and 2 Advanced Practice Providers, serving as the admitting, attending, and/or consulting physician for patients requiring hospitalization. Your day-to-day will involve evaluating, diagnosing, and treating acute inpatient and outpatient populations utilizing advanced diagnostic acumen and evidence-based medicine, ensuring seamless transitions from admission to discharge. You will have access to a robust support staff including RN Coordinators, Social Workers, PharmD, and Nutritionists.
Ascension Saint Thomas West Hospital is a 541-bed facility providing adult specialty care to the more than two million residents of Middle Tennessee, Southwestern Kentucky, and Northern Alabama. The program's kidney transplant volume has grown from approximately 100 per year to over 150 in the past 5 years. Ascension Saint Thomas West Kidney Transplant is consistently among the fastest to transplant in the region and nationally.
