NEMT Driver

About the Role

This local driving position is dedicated to transporting clients to and from medical and non-medical locations. The role is designed for individuals with an outgoing personality and strong interpersonal skills who prioritize safety above all else. Drivers serve as the primary point of contact, interacting with clients to ensure every trip is comfortable and enjoyable.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

Drivers are responsible for assisting clients in and out of the vehicle and escorting them to the door of their destination when needed. A key part of the role involves ensuring that clients utilizing wheelchairs or motorized scooters are properly and comfortably secured before travel begins. Drivers will rely on GPS software to navigate routes efficiently while maintaining a focus on passenger well-being.

Qualifications & Certifications

Proficient driving experience is essential. Candidates must hold a valid Driver's License with at least three years of history and no points or infractions. Additionally, the following certifications are required:

• CPR/First Aid
• Defensive Driver
• Passenger Assistance Safety and Sensitivity (PASS)

Application Requirements

To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Be 25 years of age or older.
• Pass a Local and Federal Background Check, as well as a CPS/APS Registry Check.
• Pass a drug screening.
• Be physically fit and capable of pushing and loading riders utilizing wheelchairs.
