This position serves as a Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Technologist within the Radiology MR Scan department at the UCHealth Anschutz Outpatient Pavilion in Aurora, CO. You will perform MRI procedures in strict accordance with the organization's scope of practice, standards, and mission. The role requires critical thinking and decisive judgment to operate in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
Your day will involve reviewing patient history and physician orders, scheduling exams, and educating patients on procedures to ensure their understanding and cooperation. You will prepare and administer contrast media or medications as ordered, continuously monitoring patient conditions and responding to any changes in status. A significant portion of your time will be dedicated to positioning patients, selecting appropriate imaging parameters, and troubleshooting equipment to ensure high-quality diagnostic results. You will analyze image quality, resolve issues through re-positioning or repeating procedures, and accurately transmit scan results.
This is an onsite role with a weekend night shift schedule. The position is full-time and requires a hybrid or remote option is not available.
