About the Role
We are seeking a Mortgage Loan Officer to join our Chatham, IL team. In this role, you will serve as a trusted advisor to potential borrowers, guiding them through the complexities of mortgage products and services. You will not only process applications but also counsel clients on credit and budgeting, developing a clear roadmap for mortgage approval.
Your day will involve meeting with loan applicants to assess their creditworthiness and income adequacy, determining maximum purchase prices, and explaining loan options. You will ensure strict compliance with federal and state regulations while maintaining clear communication with borrowers throughout the processing period. Beyond individual loan management, you will drive business development by cultivating relationships with real estate professionals, builders, and community organizations to generate referrals and promote homeownership.

Requirements
