About the Team
You will join the SRMC Inpatient Medical (4-S) department, a dynamic clinical environment dedicated to promoting and restoring patient health. Our team collaborates closely with physicians and multidisciplinary members to deliver comprehensive care across a diverse patient population, including neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. About the Role
As a member of the Clinical Nursing Support team, you will assist in providing supervised nursing care to assigned patients. Your day will involve a moderate degree of complexity, requiring you to establish a compassionate environment that offers emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients, friends, and families. You will play a vital role in promoting patient independence by teaching self-care skills, explaining conditions and medications, and answering questions.
Your responsibilities include observing patients to ensure their safety and well-being, interpreting rhythm strips, and monitoring designated patients for life-threatening changes. You will actively participate in quality improvement efforts, monitor the environment of care, and ensure strict adherence to hospital policies and procedures. This position offers a unique opportunity to grow professionally through educational programs, in-service training, and workshops while contributing to a cooperative healthcare team.
Hiring Process
Candidates must possess a High School diploma or GED equivalent and hold one of the following credentials: MA, PCT, CNA, DD214, two semesters of nursing school, or UNMH Tech certification. A Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within 30 days of hire, and a Basic Arrhythmia Certification is needed within six months.
