This position serves as a vital link in our Critical Care Patient Care Delivery team, focusing on the continuous monitoring and management of patient cardiac rhythms. You will be stationed in a ten-bed Critical Care Unit equipped with thirty-two telemetry units, where your primary mission is to observe arrhythmia computers and maintain accurate records of patient cardiac rhythms.
In this role, you will act as the first line of defense for rhythm changes, promptly notifying appropriate personnel to ensure timely intervention. Your day-to-day responsibilities include transcribing the medical plan of care, organizing patient medical records, processing physician orders, and documenting care accurately and in a timely manner. Beyond technical monitoring, you will collaborate closely with the healthcare team to coordinate patient care, assist in discharge planning, and facilitate a healing and therapeutic environment for patients and their families. You will also play a key role in staff development by assisting in the orientation of new employees.
To join our team, candidates must be able to communicate effectively in English both verbally and in writing. We require a high school diploma or equivalent, with a commitment to completing an approved basic arrhythmia program, BLS certification, and Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) certification within the specified timeframes after hire.
