This position serves as a vital link in our Critical Care Patient Care Delivery team, focusing on the continuous monitoring of patient cardiac health. You will be responsible for observing arrhythmia computers and telemetry units to detect rhythm changes, ensuring timely notification of appropriate personnel. Your role involves maintaining accurate records of patient cardiac rhythms, transcribing medical plans of care, and communicating nursing care needs to the team in a timely and precise manner.
You will work within a ten-bed critical care unit equipped with thirty-two telemetry units. The role requires a high level of focus to observe CRT screens and communicate effectively, ensuring a healing and therapeutic environment for patients and their families. You will also collaborate with healthcare team members to coordinate patient care, assist in discharge planning, and facilitate the orientation of new employees.
To join our team, candidates must be prepared to complete an approved basic arrhythmia program and obtain BLS certification within 90 days of hire. Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) certification is required within the first year and must be renewed bi-annually. We look for individuals who can effectively utilize our network computer systems, including GE Telemetry Units and the MediTech OE System.
