This position serves as a vital link in our Critical Care Patient Care Delivery team, focusing on the continuous monitoring and management of patient cardiac health. You will be stationed in a ten-bed critical care unit equipped with thirty-two telemetry units, where your primary mission is to observe arrhythmia computers and maintain accurate records of patient cardiac rhythms.
In this role, you will act as the first line of defense in identifying rhythm changes, ensuring the appropriate personnel are notified immediately. Your day-to-day responsibilities include transcribing medical plans of care, documenting patient data accurately and timely, and processing physician orders. Beyond technical monitoring, you will collaborate closely with the healthcare team to coordinate patient care, assist in discharge planning, and facilitate a healing and therapeutic environment for patients and their families. You will also play a key role in staff development by assisting in the orientation of new employees.
To join our team, candidates must be prepared to complete specific certifications within designated timeframes, including an approved basic arrhythmia program and BLS within 90 days of hire. Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) certification is required within the first year and must be renewed bi-annually.
