This position serves as a vital link in our Critical Care Unit, ensuring the continuous monitoring and safety of patients with complex cardiac needs. You will be responsible for observing arrhythmia computers and telemetry units to detect rhythm changes, maintaining accurate records of patient cardiac rhythms, and communicating nursing care needs to the team in a timely and precise manner.
In this role, you will interpret cardiac rhythms, initiate and organize patient medical records, and process physician orders. You will collaborate closely with healthcare team members to coordinate patient care, assist in discharge planning, and maintain a healing, therapeutic environment for patients and their families. The role requires the ability to sit and observe CRT screens for extended periods while managing a network of telemetry units within a ten-bed critical care setting.
To join our team, candidates must be willing to complete an approved basic arrhythmia program, obtain BLS certification, and achieve Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) certification within the specified timeframes after hire. We look for individuals who can effectively communicate in English and work collaboratively within a fast-paced medical environment.
