This position serves as a critical component of our financial operations, ensuring the integrity and accuracy of all cash assets. You will be the guardian of our secured money room, responsible for the precise counting, sorting, and handling of coin bags weighing up to 50 pounds, as well as the secure storage of pallets of boxed coin. Your work directly supports the Finance Department by preparing currency, coin, and check deposits from fare boxes for processing.
Your workday takes place within a secured vault environment designed to maintain strict security protocols with minimal exposure to outside light. You will operate specialized counting equipment to conduct deposit verifications and prepare change orders, relying on your ability to perform complex numerical tasks by touch. The role requires physical agility; you will be moving continuously between bins, vaults, booths, and counters, bending, squatting, and lifting as needed to manage cargo items sorted by route and fare box.
