Lap of Love is dedicated to providing compassionate end-of-life care for pets in the comfort of their own homes. Our mission is to support families through the most difficult moments of their pet's life by offering dignified, peaceful hospice and euthanasia services. We believe that a familiar environment is essential for a gentle transition, and our team is driven by empathy, clinical excellence, and a deep commitment to honoring the bond between pets and their owners.
As a Mobile Veterinarian, you will be the heart of our in-home service, conducting quality-of-life assessments and guiding families through end-of-life decisions with sensitivity and expertise. This role is designed for a compassionate small-animal veterinarian who thrives working independently and values the unique challenges and rewards of mobile practice. You will deliver peaceful farewells, administer palliative care, and provide emotional support to grieving families, ensuring every visit is handled with dignity.
Your day will involve traveling between client homes within your service area to provide comprehensive care. You will collaborate with a supportive, mission-driven team, participating in case discussions and ongoing training to maintain the highest standards of empathy and professional conduct. Beyond clinical duties, you will serve as a trusted counselor, educating families on disease progression, comfort care, and aftercare options while maintaining accurate medical records for each visit.
We invite experienced veterinarians who are confident in their clinical skills and passionate about hospice care to apply. The selection process focuses on finding candidates who align with our core values of empathy and communication. Selected applicants will move through a review of their qualifications and experience in small animal practice, with a specific emphasis on palliative care and euthanasia protocols.
Lap of Love is an equal opportunity employer committed to building a diverse and inclusive team. We value the unique perspectives and backgrounds of all candidates and consider qualified applicants regardless of race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, national origin, age, disability, or veteran status.
