Lap of Love seeks a Mobile Veterinarian to provide compassionate in-home hospice and euthanasia care for pets and their families. In this field-based role, you will travel to client homes to perform quality-of-life assessments, develop comfort-focused care plans, and deliver peaceful, low-stress euthanasia. Supported by a remote administrative team, you will focus entirely on medicine and communication, freeing you from the burdens of scheduling or billing.
Ideal candidates are empathetic, detail-oriented veterinarians with strong client communication skills and a passion for guiding families through end-of-life decisions with dignity and respect. You will partner with a remote, mission-driven support team to ensure seamless operations while upholding Lap of Love's standards for empathy, professionalism, and family-centered care.
Your day will be defined by meaningful interactions and clinical excellence. You will conduct compassionate quality-of-life consultations, guiding families through difficult choices and educating them on end-of-life options, aftercare, and grief resources. From developing individualized comfort-care plans to ensuring excellent pain and symptom management, your work centers on patient comfort and family needs.
You will perform peaceful euthanasia with attention to detail, maintain accurate medical records, and communicate clearly with primary care veterinarians. This role requires you to drive safely to client homes and manage a daily field-based schedule, all while participating in ongoing training and professional development in hospice and palliative care.
