Mobile Veterinarian

About the Role

Lap of Love seeks a Mobile Veterinarian to provide compassionate, in-home hospice and euthanasia services for pets. You will travel to families, perform gentle assessments, manage pain and comfort, and guide caregivers through end-of-life decisions with empathy and clarity. In this role, you'll collaborate with a supportive veterinary team, maintain detailed medical records, and uphold the highest standards of dignity and care. As a Mobile Veterinarian, your day is defined by the unique rhythm of home visits. You will drive to client homes within your assigned service area, bringing a calm and professional presence to moments of profound transition. Your work involves conducting thorough patient assessments, developing personalized care plans, and administering medications and comfort therapies to ensure the highest quality of life for pets in their final days. Beyond clinical duties, you will serve as a trusted counselor, educating and supporting families on disease progression and quality-of-life decisions with sensitivity and clarity.

This position requires you to maintain your mobile practice logistics, ensuring medical supplies, equipment, and your vehicle are always ready for service. You will coordinate care and follow-up with primary care veterinarians, ensuring a seamless continuum of care for the animals you serve.
