Lap of Love is dedicated to providing compassionate, in-home hospice and euthanasia care for pets, ensuring that every animal's final journey is dignified and peaceful. Our mission is to support families through the emotional complexities of end-of-life decisions with empathy, clarity, and professional expertise. We believe that quality care should extend beyond the clinic walls, bringing comfort and healing directly to the places where pets feel most safe.
As a Mobile Veterinarian, you will be the heart of our care team, delivering high-quality veterinary services in the comfort of clients' homes. This role exists to bridge the gap between medical necessity and emotional support, guiding families through the delicate process of palliative care and euthanasia. You will perform thorough physical assessments, create individualized care plans, and administer medications with the utmost safety and ethical consideration.
Your day will involve traveling to various locations to serve clients across your territory, conducting gentle exams, and managing pain protocols. Beyond clinical duties, you will spend significant time counseling families, offering grief support, and fostering meaningful relationships built on trust and compassion. You will collaborate closely with care coordinators and support staff to ensure seamless service delivery while adhering to strict biosecurity and controlled substance handling procedures.
Interested candidates are invited to submit their application including their resume and cover letter. The selection process typically involves an initial screening to verify licensure and experience, followed by an interview to discuss clinical philosophy and alignment with our values. Successful candidates will undergo a background check and verification of all required credentials, including active state veterinary licensure and DEA registration.
Lap of Love is an equal opportunity employer committed to building a diverse and inclusive team. We value cultural sensitivity and welcome applicants from all backgrounds who share our passion for animal welfare and compassionate care.
