Under the direction of the Branch Manager or Field Leader, the Mobile Examiner serves as a vital field presence, ensuring mobile exams are completed accurately and on time. This role is dedicated to maintaining a safe and professional environment for applicants, clients, and employees while performing all aspects of an insurance exam with confidence. From specimen collection and processing to conducting in-center and mobile exams, the Mobile Examiner upholds established practices and procedures.
The position involves a dynamic day-to-day rhythm, balancing clinical duties with logistical precision. Examiners collect specimens according to strict protocols, including taking basic vitals, medical histories, venipuncture, urine collection, and EKGs. They also handle pre-employment drug screenings and other Quest Diagnostics services. Beyond the clinical work, the role requires meticulous attention to detail in completing application packets, labeling and splitting specimens, and uploading case data to the portal within strict timeframes. The Mobile Examiner is also responsible for the safe and timely transport of specimens, supplies, and equipment to designated labs.
As a key member of the team, the Mobile Examiner may also step into a leadership capacity, acting as a coach, mentor, and resource person for new employees who have completed the required phlebotomy training program. This involves supporting department protocols, practices, and procedures while assisting in the distribution of technical information to the work group.
We value organizational commitment and professional conduct. Mobile Examiners are expected to adhere to departmental policies, including grooming, dress code, and safety manuals, ensuring a neat and clean appearance at all times. The role demands strong interpersonal skills to communicate appropriately with customers, agents, applicants, and coworkers, always remaining polite and courteous. Examiners serve as the face of the company, answering phones and dispatch calls with a friendly, helpful demeanor that incorporates the company name and self-identification.
The position requires flexibility, with travel up to a 25-mile radius and adaptable work hours to meet staffing requirements, including weekends, holidays, and occasional on-call duties. A valid driver's license, a clean driving record, and access to dependable, insured transportation are essential for success in this mobile role.
We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, marital status, veteran status, or disability status.
