About the Role
This position serves as a critical leadership hub within our operations, responsible for guiding teams to deliver exceptional customer satisfaction. The core mission is to ensure every shipment moves on time and arrives damage-free, all while strictly adhering to company policies and regulatory standards. You will act as the bridge between daily dock operations, dispatch coordination, and customer needs, ensuring seamless freight movement across terminals.
In this fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment, you will manage manpower planning, evaluate route structures, and implement cost-saving efficiencies. The role demands a proactive approach to safety, requiring you to facilitate quality groups, conduct safety meetings, and maintain a secure, clean facility. You will also handle complex administrative tasks, from billing and manifesting to resolving claims and rate quotes, ensuring that every detail of the customer experience is managed with precision.
Working Environment
This role is based in a dynamic dock environment where conditions vary with the weather, noise, and operational demands. The position requires frequent interaction with service center personnel and the ability to adapt to shifting hours based on operational needs. Success in this role requires self-initiative, as you may work in remote locations without immediate local supervision. Travel may be required as needed to support various operational sites.
