Wagstaff manufactures specialized equipment for aluminum producers, enabling the processing of formed aluminum into the parts and products used in everyday life.
This position serves as a critical bridge between Wagstaff's engineering capabilities and customer success. You will apply engineering knowledge to unique technical circumstances at various customer locations, evaluating sites and interpreting data to develop recommendations for the optimal utilization of Wagstaff-supplied equipment. The role requires becoming a subject matter expert on Wagstaff Casting Systems and the DC casting process (Billet or ingot).
You will oversee and perform pre-sales technical site evaluations, installations, start-ups, and troubleshooting. A significant portion of the role involves providing advice, guidance, and training to customers and internal Technical Service personnel regarding equipment installation, operation, and the optimization of cast house operations. You will also draft technical papers for publication, participate in research activities related to aluminum casting technologies, and assist in creating technical bulletins and manuals.
Substantial and extended international and domestic travel is required to meet customer and company business needs. The role involves a hybrid environment:
