Key Responsibilities
- check_circleOwn and manage aircraft composites commodities to execute supplier production strategies from NPI to full production
- check_circleSupport Supplier Quality Engineers in ensuring supplier adherence to part quality criteria and standards
- check_circleOwn manufacturing process development and initialization of new production lines and tooling at supplier sites
- check_circleDrive performance via statistical process control reviews and identify product and process improvements at supplier sites
- check_circleVet supplier production capabilities, factory layouts, facilities, and workforce for inclusion in the Approved Supplier List
- check_circleEstablish and drive capacity expansion, manufacturing readiness, and production ramp-up roadmaps at suppliers
- check_circleLead root cause task forces to close the loop on corrective and preventative actions with suppliers
Requirements
- verifiedBachelor's degree in supply chain, engineering, or related technical field
- verified12+ years of experience in supplier quality and industrialization within a manufacturing environment
- verifiedExperience with composites and thermoplastics manufacturing, IPC standards, CAD, GD&T
- verifiedAbility to travel at least 50% of the time
- verifiedAbility to relocate to McHenry, MS
- verifiedEligibility and ability to maintain a U.S. clearance
Nice to Have
Bachelor's degree in mechanical or metallurgical/materials engineering, or related technical field. Previous experience in defense, aerospace, automotive, high tech, or another related industry. Strong understanding of quality systems, standards, and certifications. Familiarity with developing high-tech products in a high-mix, low-volume environment. Exposure to working in a fast-paced, start-up environment. Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
