McAlister Institute is a 48-year beacon in San Diego's Recovery Community. We are seeking a passionate and skilled Bilingual Mental Health Worker to join our team. This role is designed for a professional registered with the Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) or the Board of Psychology who thrives in an outpatient setting. As a Mental Health Worker, you will work closely with adolescents and their families to facilitate therapeutic interventions and create personalized recovery plans. You will be a vital part of a multidisciplinary team, providing individual and group counseling, conducting assessments, and educating clients on coping strategies and relapse prevention. Your work will directly impact the emotional well-being and recovery journey of vulnerable youth in our community.
All employment offers are contingent upon the successful completion of pre-employment requirements, including a criminal background investigation (fingerprinting), a pre-employment physical examination, drug testing, and a negative TB test. Candidates must have at least one year clear of probation or parole. We also require a valid and unrestricted California Driver's License with a good driving record. Current McAlister Institute employees may receive priority consideration for positions when they meet essential qualifications.
