About the Role

As a Medicare Member Advocate I, you will be the primary point of contact for members with questions and issues related to their coverage. Working primarily via telephone in a call center environment, you will partner with a team of other advocates to meet department objectives and enhance the customer experience. This role offers work-from-home opportunities but requires occasional on-site work.

  • check_circleAnswer member calls regarding eligibility, claims, and coverage questions
  • check_circleDocument and forward grievances and Part D exception requests to Appeals
  • check_circleWork evening and weekend shifts as needed to meet production standards
  • check_circleCreate accurate and timely member documentation for all phone interactions
  • check_circleRespond to inquiries about PCPs, address changes, and provider networks

Requirements

  • verifiedHigh school diploma or GED

  • verifiedEffective listening and reading comprehension skills

  • verifiedKnowledge of standard office practices and procedures

Nice to Have

Some college education. Experience in a health or insurance-related call center. Experience working with the elderly population. Working knowledge of Medicare, medical terminology, and HIPAA guidelines.
