As a Medical Laboratory Technician or Medical Laboratory Scientist at St Marys Hospital in Detroit Lakes, you will play a critical role in the routine screening, diagnosis, treatment, and management of diseases and injuries for patients of all ages. You will perform and report tests of all complexity levels as defined by CLIA, serving as a vital link in the healthcare continuum.
In this position, you will exhibit advanced problem-solving skills to handle complex laboratory challenges. Your day-to-day responsibilities include participating in Quality Assurance and Quality Control monitoring, managing instrumentation maintenance and troubleshooting, and handling specimen processing. Depending on the specific role and needs, you may also perform phlebotomy duties. As an MLS, you will additionally interpret and correlate test results with disease states, participate in research and development, and provide technical consultation and education.
