Key Responsibilities
- check_circlePerform and report tests of all complexity levels on patients of all ages
- check_circleInterpret and correlate test results with disease states and theoretical knowledge
- check_circleParticipate in Quality Assurance and Quality Control monitoring activities
- check_circleParticipate in research, development, education, and technical consultation
- check_circleConduct instrumentation maintenance and troubleshooting procedures
- check_circleProcess specimens and perform phlebotomy duties as required
- check_circleExhibit complex problem-solving skills in laboratory operations
Requirements
- verifiedGraduate of an associates degree in Medical Laboratory Technician OR meets CLIA guidelines for MLT
- verifiedGraduate of a four-year degree in Clinical Laboratory science OR MLT (ASCP) certified with additional semester hours and 2 years of full time lab experience for MLS
- verifiedCertification as a Medical Laboratory Technician ASCP or equivalent required within one year for MLT
- verifiedCertification as a Medical Laboratory Scientist ASCP required within one year for MLS
