The Medical Front Desk Receptionist serves as the vital first point of contact for our outpatient behavioral health and healthcare office. In this role, you will support individuals navigating mental health, substance use, and psychosocial needs by ensuring a professional, welcoming, and efficient environment. You will work closely with administrative leadership, providers, and clinical staff to facilitate quality member care and operational efficiency.
Your day begins by managing the flow of the reception area, greeting members, visitors, and pharmaceutical representatives with empathy and professionalism. You will coordinate the daily schedule for behavioral health and medical services, verifying insurance eligibility, obtaining necessary authorizations, and managing appointment confirmations or rescheduling as needed.
Throughout the day, you will act as a liaison between members and clinical staff, handling multi-line phone systems, processing incoming correspondence, and maintaining accurate documentation within the Electronic Health Record (EHR). You will also manage financial transactions, including collecting co-pays and issuing receipts, while ensuring all interactions strictly adhere to HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2 confidentiality standards.

Associate degree or healthcare administrative training. Minimum 1 year of front desk, medical office, behavioral health, or customer service experience.
