About the Role
We are seeking a Medical Records Clerk to join our team. In this role, you will collect patient information, process patient admissions, and be responsible for the general organization and maintenance of patient records. The ideal candidate is highly organized with excellent attention to detail.
Day in the Life
You will be the first point of contact for patients, checking them in and greeting them with a friendly, warm demeanor. Your day involves answering phone calls, scheduling appointments, and verifying insurance benefits. You will ensure all patient paperwork is completed and submitted accurately and in a timely manner, while scanning medical records and providing patients with appropriate documents. A key part of your responsibility is maintaining the strict confidentiality of all patient medical records and following all hospital procedures for their accurate maintenance.
