We are seeking experienced Medical Assistants to join our team in Mt. Juliet, TN. In this role, you will provide essential clinical care within our urgent care, occupational health, and workers' compensation settings. You will be the first point of contact for patients, responsible for initial evaluations, x-ray testing, and preparing patients for provider visits by accurately recording histories and vital signs. Your ability to recognize acuity levels will be crucial in determining the appropriate level of intervention.
Your day will begin by greeting patients promptly and communicating clearly about wait times and next steps. You will support the front desk during check-in and check-out procedures while ensuring exam rooms remain stocked and clean. A significant portion of your time will be dedicated to clinical tasks, including performing phlebotomy, injections, and assisting with patient transfers under provider supervision. You will also be responsible for preparing and shooting X-Rays, ensuring proper positioning and strict adherence to radiation safety protocols. Throughout the shift, you will manage timely follow-ups for lab and x-ray results and ensure all patient documentation is accurate and complete.
Full-time team members work a rotating schedule of 36-40 hours per week, featuring 12-hour weekday shifts and every-other weekends. We also offer PRN (per diem) opportunities for those who prefer to work on an as-needed basis.
