This position serves as a vital support role within the Family Practice Clinic, bridging the gap between administrative efficiency and direct patient care. As a Medical Assistant, you will operate in a dynamic environment serving a diverse patient population ranging from neonates to geriatric adults. The role is designed to ensure seamless clinic operations while maintaining the highest standards of patient safety and clinical support.
You will be responsible for a blend of front and back-office duties, including collecting patient data, obtaining medical histories, and coordinating appointments. On the clinical side, you will assist providers with treatment procedures, prepare sterile fields, and perform routine non-invasive tasks such as vital signs, EKGs, and urine dipsticks. Depending on your certification and training, you may also perform invasive procedures like phlebotomy, catheterization, and medication administration.
Patient safety is a core pillar of this position. You are expected to proactively identify environmental risks, report potential errors or near misses, and encourage patients to actively participate in their own care. The role also involves maintaining a sanitary work area, managing inventory, and handling basic cashiering duties to ensure the clinic runs smoothly.
Candidates selected for an interview will be guided through a standard hiring workflow. Please note that specific details regarding the interview stages and timeline will be communicated directly by the hiring team upon application review.
