The Media Specialist is a skilled visual content producer dedicated to supporting the creation of compelling, mission-driven media under the guidance of the Media Manager. This role is vital for capturing high-quality photo and video content, editing engaging visual stories, and producing polished final products that align with the YMCA's brand and organizational goals. Working collaboratively with the Media Manager, you will assist with content planning, support on-site shoots and events, independently document routine program moments, and complete post-production tasks. Your work ensures all visual content is creative, impactful, and consistent with established brand standards while authentically reflecting the experiences and communities the YMCA serves.
As a Y employee, you gain access to a free Y membership, referral bonuses, and up to 60% discounts for yourself, your family, and siblings on Y programs, camps, preschool, and childcare. This role embodies the YMCA mission and the pillars of character development: honesty, caring, respect, responsibility, and diversity.
The YMCA requires all staff to share responsibility for preventing child abuse by upholding professional boundaries, completing mandatory Praesidium training, and reporting concerns.
