This is a part-time, temporary summer internship (May through August 2026) designed to provide hands-on experience in communications and digital storytelling within a municipal utility environment. You will join FPUA's structured Internship Program, engaging in cohort-based activities, facility tours, and professional development sessions to gain exposure to the full scope of utility operations.
Reporting to the Digital Media and Marketing Specialist, you will support key outreach initiatives, including the 3rd Annual Youth Career Event. Your day-to-day will involve building communications calendars, planning content timelines, and creating brand-aligned social media graphics and short videos. You will also assist in drafting captions and headlines, organizing digital assets into a shared library, and collaborating with staff across departments to gather information for storytelling.
FPUA is a municipal utility dedicated to serving the community. This internship offers a unique opportunity to represent the organization professionally while contributing to real-world projects that highlight career pathways and utility roles. You will work alongside fellow interns on group activities and special projects, fostering a collaborative environment focused on professional growth.
Candidates must be at least 18 years old and possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
