About the Role

Wood is recruiting for a Mechanical HVAC Engineering and Design Department Lead to join our Life Sciences business. This role is based in our Plymouth Meeting, PA and Greenville, SC offices, though we are open to exceptional candidates working in a fully remote capacity.

We are seeking an energetic, self-motivated individual to lead HVAC and mechanical design teams through all phases of project design, from feasibility and concept development to detailed design and construction assistance. You will develop life-changing and, in many cases, life-saving solutions for our clients by leveraging Wood's 50 years of Life Sciences experience across the Americas, Europe, and Australia.

Our team focuses on sustainability and optimized facility performance through innovative design solutions that drive positive advancements in human health. You will partner with process engineers and architects to define utility requirements, ensuring the design and delivery of complex pharmaceutical and biotechnology facilities meet uncompromising quality and safety standards.

Work Model

This position operates under a hybrid model, with employees expected in the office three days a week and remote work for two days. While proximity to our PA and SC offices is preferred, we will consider fully remote candidates for exceptional talent.

Hiring Process

Applicants must be authorized to work lawfully in the US without sponsorship from Wood, now or in the future. We encourage all talented individuals to apply, even if you do not match every statement in the qualifications section. We believe it takes all of us working together to deliver solutions to the world's most critical challenges.

Our Culture & Commitment

Wood is an organization actively committed to diversity and inclusion, with employee networks dedicated to giving all employees a voice. We foster a culture of technical excellence through role modeling and clear communication of expectations. Join experts around the world who are at the leading edge of our industry, shaping the standards of our profession.
