The Mechanic position within the Oil and Gas industry is designed to ensure the safe and efficient operation of critical production assets. This role focuses on the maintenance and repair of mechanical equipment essential to oil and gas production operations and processing. The team relies on skilled professionals to manage large-scale preventative maintenance and corrective repairs, ensuring minimal downtime for the compression fleet and rotating equipment.
In this position, you will manage work orders through CMMS and mobile applications, performing pre-work scoping and troubleshooting for rotating equipment. Your daily activities will center on the large COOP compression fleet, as well as VRUs, air compressors, and various pumps. A key part of the role involves actively supporting Health, Environment, and Safety processes, ensuring all daily activities comply with applicable regulations and policies. You will be expected to follow safe operating practices outlined in the MCBU Safe Practice Manual to maintain a secure working environment.
This role is based in Orla, TX, and operates on a 9/80 work schedule. The position requires a multi-skilled professional with at least 5 years of experience in the field. The role demands flexibility, including the ability and willingness to work weekends, holidays, and overtime as workload demands dictate.

Associates of Applied Science degree or higher, or Military Occupation Specialty (MOS) in Compression, Industrial Maintenance Technology, or related mechanical technology discipline. 5 years of current industrial mechanical experience with emphasis on reciprocating engines, compressors, centrifugal compressors, turbines, centrifugal and reciprocating pumps, and generators.
