About the Role
As a Mechanic at Marathon, you will join a maintenance team that takes pride in the safety and reliability of our transport fleet equipment. You will enjoy working for a company that values people, an inclusive working environment, health & safety, and environmental stewardship.
This position provides daily preventative and corrective maintenance on our fleet of transports and trailers. You will be primarily responsible for the maintenance and repair of our crude transport fleet, located in Cadiz, OH, with occasional out-of-region development opportunities. This role is designed for those who thrive in a team environment and are self-motivated to work efficiently with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities
- check_circleInspect and maintain trailers in compliance with all DOT requirements
- check_circleKeep vehicle maintenance files current including DOT compliance documentation
- check_circlePerform tire changes on fleet vehicles
- check_circlePerform or coordinate emergency maintenance and breakdown repairs
- check_circlePerform routine maintenance activities such as oil changes, brake service, and electrical system service
- check_circleMaintain, troubleshoot, and repair crude oil transport trucks, tankers, and semi-trailers
- check_circleMaintain truck shop area and order parts, materials, oils, and lubricants
- check_circleCoordinate outside repairs, annual tanker certifications, and inspections
- check_circleExecute all preventative maintenance schedules on assigned vehicles and equipment
Requirements

- verifiedValid Driver's License
- verifiedProfessional mechanic or technician experience related to diesel engines and semi-trailers in oil and gas operations preferred
