We are seeking a hands-on Diesel Mechanic I to join our 2nd shift team. In this role, you will be the backbone of our safe and efficient operations, responsible for maintaining a wide range of diesel-powered equipment, including semi-tractors, trailers, and heavy machinery.
Your day-to-day involves performing inspections, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on hydraulic and electrical systems. You will diagnose mechanical issues, replace components like belts, hoses, and batteries, and ensure all equipment operates in compliance with safety standards. This position requires you to utilize hand and power tools effectively, maintain a clean shop environment, and respond to road calls or minor field service repairs as assigned. You will also support senior technicians on larger repair and rebuild projects while accurately documenting all findings and maintenance records.
