Royal Waste is seeking a dedicated and skilled Mechanic to join our growing maintenance team. We are an organization where individuals who prioritize safety and take pride in their work are essential to supporting our drivers and the service we provide to the community.
About the Role
As a Mechanic, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability and safety of our fleet. Your day will involve performing comprehensive inspections, repairs, and diagnostics on diesel vehicles, covering electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake, and air systems. You will interpret vehicle computer system failure codes, make necessary adjustments to engine and vehicle control modules, and review repairs noted on Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports.
Collaboration is key in this role; you will work alongside teammates on complex repairs while maintaining professional and courteous communication with drivers. A significant part of your responsibility includes keeping workspaces clean and compliant with OSHA standards, as well as conducting post-service test drives to ensure safety and performance. You will accurately document all services using our fleet maintenance software, ensuring that every vehicle is ready for the road.
