Key Responsibilities
- check_circleTroubleshoot equipment issues and communicate operational status to next shift
- check_circleLoad and unload barges, trucks, and rail cars safely and efficiently
- check_circleConduct corn sample analysis and maintain documentation for unloading systems
- check_circleIssue work permits including lockout/tagout and hot work permits
- check_circlePerform deckhand duties such as knot tying and securing barges
- check_circleOperate heavy equipment including front end loaders, skid steers, and clam shells
- check_circleComplete daily documentation, logbooks, and inventory reports
- check_circleParticipate in safety training, audits, and create JSAs and SOPs
Requirements
- verifiedHigh School diploma or equivalent
- verifiedBasic mathematics, reading comprehension, and problem solving
- verifiedMechanical equipment operating experience preferred
- verifiedAbility to work 12 hour rotating shift schedule including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
- verifiedAbility to work outside in all weather conditions
- verifiedAbility to climb and work at heights exceeding 50 feet
- verifiedAbility to lift and carry 55 lbs
