The Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Supervisor serves as a critical link in implementing regulatory and safety programs across our Air Centers. Reporting to the Director of Environmental, Health, and Safety, you will lead a team of EHS Specialists assigned to specific locations. This role is designed for a technical expert who can interpret complex regulations and provide direction to ensure a safe work environment for employees, contractors, and site visitors.
In this position, you will not only manage compliance with local, state, and federal EPA and OSHA rules but also foster a culture of safety through training, inspections, and continuous improvement. You will work effectively with employees at all organizational levels, motivating teams to adhere to safety standards while coordinating with internal and external customers. The role demands a balance of technical precision and interpersonal influence to drive participation in safety programs and minimize hazard potential.
This role is based out of California or Salt Lake City, Utah. A significant portion of the work involves mobility; you will travel up to 50% to support operational and compliance needs at Hitachi Air Center locations, including sites in California, Missouri, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, and West Virginia.
