About the Role

The ME/IE Manager serves as the site technology leader for Jabil's manufacturing processes and systems, driving superior performance and operational efficiency. This role is pivotal in supporting the Operations business development efforts with both current and potential customers while defining and implementing global ME/IE strategies. The position is responsible for establishing optimal manufacturing methods and processes for the organization's production lines.

At the heart of this role is the leadership of a large group of Engineers tasked with defining and implementing complete manufacturing processes. The Manager provides ongoing review of equipment utilization, production methods, layout, personnel, and material flow. Beyond technical oversight, the role demands exceptional support to customers, team members, and shareholders, fostering a culture where Industrial Engineers act as "Integration Engineers" to ensure smooth, high-quality processes that translate into high customer satisfaction and revenue.

Team Context and Mission

Jabil's manufacturing philosophy centers on continuous improvement and "best in field" practices. The ME/IE function is dedicated to driving Lean Manufacturing in a consistent, structured manner throughout the campus. The team is expected to exchange knowledge with other Jabil facilities to ensure best practices are shared organization-wide. A core mission involves anticipating future technical trends to guide gear suppliers and ensuring that all procedures and work instructions are efficient and non-redundant.
