The Sherwin-Williams Management & Sales Training Program is an accelerated, entry-level initiative designed to prepare you for a Store Management role within 18-24 months. Rooted in our promote-from-within philosophy, this program offers a clear career trajectory with a defined beginning and an open end, allowing you to shape your future. Upon successful completion of the initial 8-week training, you will progress into an Assistant Store Manager position.
In this position, you will collaborate with store management to oversee a million-dollar business, providing leadership and strategic insight into store development. You will learn all aspects of operations, client relationships, and internal strategy, understanding your significant role in the team's success. A key part of your day involves growing the company's market share by selling to large commercial users, including painting contractors, purchasing agents, and manufacturers who require high-volume, high-quality products.
This structured program provides the support necessary for a successful career in management and professional sales. You will develop a foundation for leadership, mastering skills in customer service, sales, marketing, finance, and operations. Additionally, you will engage in professional networking, establishing essential community relationships that drive both business growth and your personal success.
Applicants must be at least 18 years old and hold a valid, unrestricted driver's license. A bachelor's degree is required by the start of the program. Please note that this role involves contact with customers (including minors) and access to cash, electronic equipment, and merchandise. Consequently, a review of criminal history is necessary to protect the safety of our customers, staff, and the general public.
