The General Maintenance Trades Helper plays a vital support role within our operations and maintenance programs at federal and commercial facilities. This position exists to assist skilled maintenance tradesmen with general duties, ensuring the smooth functioning of critical building systems including HVAC, electrical, and plumbing. The role is integral to maintaining a safe, functional, and efficient environment for our clients.
In this position, you will be the hands-on partner to skilled tradespeople, handling tools, maintaining work areas, and performing preventative maintenance on non-critical equipment. Your day-to-day involves a variety of tasks ranging from grounds maintenance and snow removal to furniture assembly, painting, and responding to service calls. You will work collaboratively with management and trade staff to ensure all facility needs are met promptly and effectively.
As a condition of employment, candidates must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening, as well as provide acceptable reference and background check results. All Contractor personnel working onsite at federal facilities are required to meet federal government security clearance standards. ICMS will submit the necessary security clearance information for each employee in accordance with current government identification card application procedures.
