As a Maintenance Technician II at our Old Colony property in Boston, MA, you will be the backbone of our community's operational readiness. Under limited supervision, you ensure that our apartments and common areas remain safe, functional, and welcoming for residents. This role is critical for maintaining the "make-ready" status of units between tenants, ensuring a seamless transition for new residents while keeping the property in top condition.
You will be a versatile problem-solver skilled in multiple trades, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and appliance repair. Your day-to-day involves a dynamic mix of tasks: from performing minor repairs and finish carpentry to managing inventory, handling snow removal at all hours, and maintaining the grounds. You will also be on-call for urgent after-hours issues, ensuring that resident needs are met promptly and safely.
To be successful in this role, you must live within 30 minutes of the property unless otherwise approved by management. You will report directly to the Maintenance Supervisor and serve as a key member of a team that values integrity, dependability, and customer focus.
We are offering a $1,000 Sign-On Bonus for new hires, structured as $500 payable with your first paycheck and $500 after 90 days of employment. If you are a skilled technician ready to join a supportive team, we encourage you to apply.
We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, marital status, veteran status, or disability status.
