Mandela Homes is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician II to join our team in Boston, MA. In this hands-on role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for property upkeep, ensuring our homes remain safe, functional, and ready for residents. You will operate under limited supervision to perform a wide range of skilled maintenance functions across electrical, plumbing, appliances, flooring, carpentry, painting, and HVAC systems.
Your day will involve a dynamic mix of tasks, from performing minor repairs and drywall patching to executing thorough clean-out and demo work for apartment turnovers. You will be responsible for maintaining grounds by mowing lawns and pruning trees, as well as managing inventory and picking up supplies. The role requires flexibility, including the ability to remove snow at any hour and provide emergency on-call service for urgent after-hours issues.
We offer a competitive starting package, including a $1,000 sign-on bonus for new hires ($500 payable with the first paycheck and $500 after 90 days of employment). Candidates must possess a valid driver's license and live within 30 minutes of the property to ensure rapid response times.
