The Maintenance Supervisor (Assistant Chief Engineer) serves as a critical leader within Medico Healthcare Linen Service, supporting the plant's equipment repairs and upkeep essential for processing linens. This role is designed for a professional who can adapt to the dynamic needs of a fast-paced production environment while co-leading a team of mechanics toward operational success.
As the designated second-in-command, the Assistant Chief Engineer is expected to represent the company with the highest standards of professionalism and integrity. The position involves stepping into the Chief Engineer's duties during absences, managing special work assignments, and troubleshooting complex issues. Beyond technical oversight, the role encompasses a significant people-management component, including coaching Journeyman and Apprentice mechanics, participating in hiring and training, and ensuring strict adherence to safety regulations and company policies.

Key Responsibilities
- check_circleAssume Chief Engineer duties during absence and handle special work assignments
- check_circleTrain personnel in proper operating practices and safety regulations
- check_circleConduct regular equipment inspections and report findings to the Chief Engineer
- check_circleSchedule and carry out preventive mechanical maintenance on plant equipment
- check_circlePerform basic machining operations including threading, drilling, tapping, and grinding
- check_circleParticipate in employee hiring, training, development, and performance management
- check_circleMaintain and record daily utility consumption meter readings and equipment logs
- check_circleCoach and lead Journeyman and Apprentice mechanics in daily tasks
- check_circleTroubleshoot, repair, and maintain process and support equipment within the plant
- check_circleApply disciplinary actions in adherence to CBA and company policy
- check_circleComplete record keeping for injuries, accidents, disciplinary notices, and attendance
- check_circleEnsure compliance with PPE standards and all safety policies for maintenance staff
Requirements
