About the Role
Based in the South Bay (Los Angeles area), the Maintenance Mechanic II plays a vital role in keeping plant machinery and equipment in optimal repair. This position is designed to maintain, analyze, and correct issues across standard machinery, ensuring operational continuity in a high-stakes manufacturing environment.
The role involves a dynamic day-to-day routine of troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and repairs on a wide variety of mechanical equipment, including pumps, cranes, hoists, hydraulic systems, vacuum pumps, and basic vehicles. Mechanics will frequently dismantle devices to access and replace defective parts, examining components for imperfections and adjusting functional parts and control instruments. The position also requires the installation of new equipment and the application of advanced welding techniques, including Arc, Gas, and TIG/MIG welding.
Hiring Process
Candidates must successfully pass a background check and drug screen as part of the selection process. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity with a shift schedule running from 6:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., with overtime available as needed.
