About the Role

As a Maintenance Director, you will serve as the guardian of our physical plant, ensuring a safe, functional, and welcoming environment for our residents. This role is critical to our mission of excellence, as it directly impacts resident safety and the operational integrity of our facilities. You will plan, organize, and direct all maintenance programs, grounds upkeep, and service contracts. From plumbing and carpentry to mechanical systems and vehicle maintenance, you will oversee the comprehensive care of our buildings and grounds.

Your day-to-day involves a blend of strategic oversight and hands-on execution. You will monitor service contracts, coordinate with local fire departments for safety inspections, and ensure all facilities meet state and federal guidelines. While you will manage the broader maintenance strategy, you will also step in to perform specialized repairs—acting as an electrician, plumber, or carpenter as needed to resolve issues promptly. Beyond the technical work, you will foster positive public relations with residents and families, using tactful communication to navigate sensitive situations.
