This temporary position serves as a vital support role within the school's facilities team, dedicated to ensuring a safe, attractive, and comfortable environment for students to learn, play, and develop. Reporting directly to the Building Principal and the Manager of Buildings and Grounds, the Custodian acts as the primary guardian of the school's physical infrastructure.
The role is designed for an individual with a strong background in custodial services, electrical repairs, plumbing, and carpentry. You will be the first line of defense for building security, managing daily operations from the early morning shift (6:00 AM to 2:00 PM, Monday through Friday) through the end of the school day. Your day involves a dynamic mix of routine maintenance, emergency response, and event preparation, ensuring the school remains operational and welcoming.
This is a temporary position with an immediate start date (ASAP) through July 2026. Candidates must possess a valid Massachusetts Driver's License and a High School Diploma. The selection process prioritizes demonstrated knowledge of basic repair techniques and relevant experience in school custodial services or equivalent institutional settings.
