About the Role
As a Machine Operator in Reading, PA, you will be responsible for operating machinery in a safe and efficient manner to produce parts that meet or exceed customer expectations. This role is vital to our ongoing production needs, requiring you to work in different work centers as requirements shift. You will collaborate effectively with setup personnel, shift supervisors, and the quality department to ensure product specifications are met and to address any machine malfunctions or quality issues immediately.
Your day will involve reading work orders or following oral instructions to operate machinery, monitoring operations to detect defects, and inspecting the quality of finished products. You will also handle the final stages of production, including counting, labeling, and packing finished goods into totes or cartons for transport. Success in this role requires a commitment to maintaining department housekeeping, adhering to 5S program requirements, and following strict Good Documentation Practices in alignment with our Quality and Environmental Management Systems.
