About the Role

The Shift Production Lead serves as the operational anchor for the production line, responsible for controlling the process, managing operators, and ensuring seamless communication and support. This role exists to drive continuous improvement, maintain rigorous quality standards, and ensure a safe, efficient working environment.

In this position, you will guide the team to exhibit strong teamwork and problem-solving skills while adhering to all company policies and safety objectives. You will be the primary point of contact for maintaining proper ergonomics, meeting daily production goals, and ensuring all customer and Amcor quality standards are met. Your day involves reviewing process data to ensure machines run established standard cycles and that resin, regrind, and additive consumption standards are strictly followed.

You will play a hands-on role in maintaining EBM lines, including changing cutters, fixing leaks, managing hydraulic systems, and troubleshooting heaters and dust collectors. The role requires you to assist in training EBM Operators, Material Handlers, and Packers, while also providing relief to other positions within the department. You will communicate technical issues to supervisors and engineers, complete downtime reports, and ensure the work area remains clean and compliant with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
