About the Role
We are seeking a Production Welder to join our Manufacturing & Production team. In this role, you will perform precision MIG/TIG welding, read and interpret blueprints, and assemble metal components to exact specifications. You'll collaborate closely with engineers and technicians to support prototype and production builds, while maintaining strict safety and quality standards.
Your day will involve setting up and operating welding equipment to produce high-quality welds on production parts according to drawings and specifications. You will interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and work instructions to determine proper weld sequence, techniques, and parameters. Beyond fabrication, you will inspect welds visually and with basic measurement tools to verify dimensions, tolerances, and overall quality. You will also work closely with manufacturing, production, and engineering teams to resolve issues related to part fit, weldability, and manufacturability.

Key Responsibilities

- check_circleCollaborate with engineering teams to resolve part fit and weldability issues
- check_circleSupport prototype builds by providing feedback on weld feasibility and improvements
- check_circleMaintain a clean and safe work area in accordance with 5S and safety policies
- check_circleRecord work performed, quantities produced, and nonconformances in production systems
- check_circleInterpret blueprints, weld symbols, and work instructions to determine proper weld sequences
- check_circleSet up and operate welding equipment to produce high-quality welds on production parts
- check_circlePerform basic preventive maintenance on welding equipment and report service needs
- check_circleHandle and move materials and finished goods using material-handling equipment
- check_circlePerform MIG, TIG, and flux-core welding on various metals ensuring correct fit and penetration
- check_circleOperate overhead cranes and forklifts to support manufacturing and assembly tasks
Requirements
- verifiedAWS D1.1 or equivalent structural welding certification (preferred)
- verifiedFormal welding training from a trade school, community college, or vocational program (preferred)
- verifiedForklift certification (preferred)
- verifiedOverhead crane/hoist operation training or certification (preferred)
- verifiedOSHA 10‑hour general industry training (preferred)
Nice to Have
AWS D1.1 or equivalent structural welding certification. Formal welding training from a trade school, community college, or vocational program. Forklift certification. Overhead crane/hoist operation training or certification. OSHA 10-hour general industry training.
