This position offers overall line responsibility, managing the entire production process from manufacturing to final packaging. You will be the primary operator responsible for starting and stopping machinery, performing parison controls, and monitoring material metrics such as weight distribution, regrind levels, and tail lengths. A key part of the role involves conducting regular quality control and visual checks to ensure goods are produced in the correct quantities and meet all agreed-upon specifications.
You will work collaboratively within a team to ensure maximum efficiency, assisting Machine Operators, Shift Supervisors, and Mold Change Teams with mold and color changes as needed. The role requires maintaining excellent housekeeping standards around the machine and within the department, as well as performing autonomous maintenance activities and line clearance. Success in this position is measured by efficiency, waste reduction, quality check accuracy, and the timely completion of maintenance tasks.
This is an entry-level position located in Salt Lake City (SLC). Candidates are expected to demonstrate a commitment to acting in a safe and environmentally responsible manner at all times, adhering to all ALPLA policies, procedures, and Safety Standards (OSHA).
