This position serves as a vital link in our retirement and nursing community, dedicated to providing prescribed medical treatment and compassionate personal care to residents who are ill, injured, convalescent, or disabled. The role exists to ensure that every resident receives safe, high-quality care that upholds their dignity and rights while adhering to strict state assisted living standards and the nurse practice act.
In this capacity, you will not only manage clinical duties such as administering medications, performing assessments, and documenting vital signs, but also foster a homelike environment filled with hospitality. You will act as a mentor to personal care aides and nursing assistants, guiding them in their daily tasks while overseeing their schedules and breaks. Your day involves collaborating with physicians, supervising self-care equipment, and responding to the inquiries of residents and their families, ensuring a seamless and supportive experience for everyone in the community.
